The annual ceremony, hosted this year by Cat Deeley, celebrates the year's most noteworthy programming. This year's nominees are all for shows that aired between June 1, 2014 and May 31, 2015. There are 25 categories, with comedies and dramas competing separately.

The 2015 Best Drama Series nominees are "The Americans," "Empire," "Game of Thrones," "The Good Wife," "Homeland," "Justified," and "Orange Is The New Black." For Best Comedy Series, "Broad City," "Jane The Virgin," "Mom," "Silicon Valley," "Transparent," "Veep," and "You're The Worst" are the nominees. Actors and actresses up for awards include Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jeffrey Tambor, Tony Hale, Viola Davis, Bob Odenkirk, Kiefer Sutherland, Felicity Huffman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and many more.
