Jurassic World breaks box office Opening record..
The new film, the fourth in the Jurassic Park franchise, is expected to open at $190 to $200 million. That is more than enough to be the biggest June opening of all time. And, depending on where the final numbers fall, the movie could go down as the second biggest opening ever for any time frame.
Right now it's a lock for third, but just needs to surpass the $191.3 million earned by Avengers: Age of Ultron last month to overtake the number two spot, behind The Avengers, which reigns at the top with $207.4M. Regardless, other titles Jurassic World has already conquered just based on the estimates are Universal Pictures' biggest opening night and biggest opening period.
