Kendrick Lamar who is in time of success and everything is turning out good for him after the release of his latest album "To Pimp a Butterfly".. The rapper has released a new video from the album titled "King Kunta,".
In a recent interview he had with MTV News' Rob Markman, Kendrick elaborated on the concept behind the track, it's structure, as far as rhymes and schemes are concerned, and what's the message behind it....
Here is what he said :
It can go either way and I wrote it just because of that. I want it to be not as complex as a lot of my lyrics but still have a message behind it. The actual rhyme and scheme of things is simple. I want to make that real simplistic in a boastful way but also have a sense of integrity behind it. I've been called many things growing up. In the state of just being a Black man I've been called many things. From my ancestors – they've been called many things. It's taking that negativity and being proud of it, and making it to your own. Say, 'I'm a king no matter what you call me',"...
