Father of one, Chris Brown has been accused of punching another man in Las Vegas during a basketball game in the early morning hours of Monday in The Palms Casino Resort.
According to TMZ, Breezy is a battery suspect after allegedly hitting a guy during a basketball game in Las Vegas.
The altercation went down at the Palms Casino Resort — according to police … Chris was playing hoops at 3:42 AM and at some point he got into an argument with one of the guys playing — and allegedly punched him. The pickup game was being played in the famous Hardwood Suite … where Chris was staying.
Police responded to the scene, but didn't talk to Brown when they got there.
Cops say Chris now has 2 options: either sign a citation for misdemeanor battery, and agree to show up in court to face the charge — OR take his chances with the D.A … who would decide whether to press charges.
Here's what happened according to the LVMPD press release:
At approximately 3:42 a.m. on May 4, 2015 LVMPD patrol officers responded to Sunrise Hospital to investigate a report of a subject who had been beaten. Arriving officers made contact with an adult male being treated for non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of a battery.
The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Violent Crimes Section indicated the victim had been playing a game of basketball at the Palms Casino Resort located at 4321 West Flamingo Road. A verbal altercation on the court led to a physical fight and the victim was punched by another male subject who was later identified as 25-year old recording artist Chris Brown. The victim prepared to defend himself and was then hit by another male reportedly with Brown.
The victim self-transported to the hospital where he was treated and released. Detectives responded to the scene at the hotel but Brown was not available to speak with them. Mr. Brown has been given the option of signing a citation for misdemeanor battery, or having the case submitted to the Clark County District Attorney's Office for prosecution. At that time, Mr. Brown would receive a summons to appear in Clark County Justice Court.
As of this release, the LVMPD has not heard from Mr. Brown or his attorney indicating whether or not he would sign the citation...
