Beyonce husband and a veteran businessman, Jay Z sign a $70m deal with Barclays...
Upon founding Roc Nation Sports, he had to part ways with Barclays out of conflict of interest and left behind his small ownership of the Brooklyn-based multi-purpose indoor arena and the Brooklyn Nets. Now, the mogul and Barclays have inked a multi-year contract. That means concerts by Rihanna, Kanye West, Big Sean, Fabolous, Meek Mill and many more are on the way. In addition, Jay Z will perform at the Barclays Center annually.
"This is exciting for us because it goes so much more beyond an artist coming to Barclays as part of a tour," Barclays CEO Brett Yormark said.
Second, wide receiver Dez Bryant, who is a Roc Nations Sports signee and is represented by Hov himself, has inked a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys earlier this week. The 5-year deal will grant him $70 million, according to ESPN. The team owner Jerry Jones congratulated Bryant on the contract.
"My hats off to you," Jones told Bryant. "You did a good job associating yourself with Jay Z. He's wonderful. I spent hours with him last night and it was great, thinks a lot of you and I do too."
