Abel Tesfaye popularly known as The Weeknd became the first ever artist to hold all top three spots on Hot R&B songs chart...
With his sophomore album Beauty Behind The Madness coming out next month, Abel has just set a new Billboard record. He is now the first artist ever to own the #1, #2, and #3 songs on the Hot R&B singles chart which was launched three years ago. His latest single, "Can't Feel My Face" claimed the #1 spot this week while "The Hills" jumped from #4 to #2. In the meantime, "Earned It" held onto #3.
Billboard reports that the closest runner-up to The Weeknd is Robin Thicke who held two out of the top three spots on the chart in 2013 when "Blurred Lines" featuring T.I. and Pharrell, and "Give It 2 You" featuring Kendrick Lamar were #1 and #3, respectively, for three weeks.
His upcoming album is slated for an August 28th drop....
