Kim Kardashian's husband, Kanye West performance at the Pan Am Games Closing Ceremony in Toronto became one of his most controversial moments this year...
To begin with, his booking as a headliner at the event led to a petition which was signed by thousands of people who didn't agree with the decision because he isn't Canadian, even though Mayor John Tory thought he was. Ye still hit the stage last night, but his set continued around 13 minutes.
Mr. West jumped on the giant stage at the Rogers Centre as planned, but after he performed a couple of tracks, he abruptly cut his set short. Just when he was performing "Good Life," he threw his mic in the air and walked backstage without even waving the crowd goodbye.
Later, CBC Olympics took to Twitter to address the incident and blamed technical difficulties for the shortened set: "Official word from #TO2015 on Kanye's mic issues: "Technical error." #CBCPanAm #closingceremony."
