Latest report claim that, Marvin Gaye's son is ready to sued FOX and hit TV series 'Empire' creator, Lee Daniels...
The late soul icon's son, Marvin Gaye III, says that back in 2010 be registered a show called Diamonds & Ballads, a.k.a. Those Sons of Riches!, with the Writers Guild of America, TMZ reports. He described the treatment which focuses on the life of a family in the music business as "a music based 'black' and 'hip' version of Dynasty... with a little Sopranos."
According to the news website, Gaye claims he shopped the idea around TV executives, who later emailed it to Lee Daniels, the creator of Empire. He also points out that in 2014, Daniels let the cat out of the bag when he said, "I wanted to make a black Dynasty," and compared it to The Sopranos.
Marvin Gaye III's lawyer states they intend on filing a lawsuit against Daniels, FOX and others. Stay tuned for an update.
