Nicki Minaj was reported losing a lot from the beef that is going on between her baby father, Meek Mill and her fellow record label star, Drake, because the beef is hurting Nicki Minaj's 'The Pinkprint' tour sales..
According to Philly.com, ticket sales have dropped 20% in the period following Meek's Twitter attack against Drizzy.
According to Jackson Riso, a data analyst and representative from TickPick, a marketplace site similar to Stubhub minus added fees, the site noticed an exaggerated, downward trend in ticket sale prices for the couple's tour.
Even more remarkable, the sharp drop appears to have coincided with Meek's Twitter rant against the Canadian rapper and Drake's subsequent diss tracks against the North Philly rapper.
On ticket marketplace websites, there's usually a slight decline in prices as tour dates begin to dwindle. However, the sharp drop that appears around the time Drake released "Charged Up" and "Back to Back," two diss tracks aimed at Meek, isn't normal.
"The average ticket price for a Meek Mill [and] Nicki Minaj concert on July 20th was $179," Riso said in an email. "By the time OVO Fest came around, that had fallen nearly 20 percent to $148." OVO Fest is Drake's annual music festival that takes place in his hometown of Toronto, Canada.
Comparably, ticket prices for the Sam Smith tour, which has dates that coincide with the Pinkprint Tour, only fell about $10 during the same time period.
Check out the graphs below and let us know what you think — do you think the 20% decrease is all some strange coincidence?
