According to the numbers, the most frequently played artist on the station is The Weeknd, mostly thanks to his #1 single "Can't Feel My Face," which achieved Platinum status in no time, and "The Hills," which is also doing great on Rhythmic radio. The second most frequently played artist and most frequently played rapper is his fellow Torontonian, Drake.
Fetty Wap, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, Vince Staples, and Future are also among the Beats 1's top 20 artists, which naturally hints at hip-hop being the most frequently played genre on the worldwide station.
