One of the best rapper in the industry, Kendrick Lamar have been slapped with a hefty lawsuit by a photographer who claims the rapper and his team used a snap without permission to promote the single "The Blacker the Berry" off of his latest album, To Pimp A Butterfly.
Giordano Cipriani, Italian freelance photographer, claims he took the photo in question on a trip to Africa back in 2011. In the original image, which you can find in the gallery on this link, a Mursi mother breastfeeds two children. The single artwork featuring the snap was used on Kenny's YouTube, social media websites and general press.
Cipriani has filed a lawsuit against Kendrick Lamar, Top Dawg Entertainment, Interscope Records and Aftermath Records. He is demanding $150,000 for each time the image was used, plus money to pay lawyer fees. Also, he has requested an injunction against Lamar to prevent any further unauthorized use of the image...
